The Mardi Himal Trek is an ideal trek for the trekkers looking for trekking trails with less traffic and for those who want to enjoy solitary on their way up-to the mountains. Mardi trail has started gaining popularity only recently with substantial trekkers trekking this trail. Perhaps it was due to the ecological concerns—and the regulations that came along with it—that gave certain connotation to this trail such that potential trekkers were apprehensive in the past. However, as time passed by people discovered that the regulations were merely eco-friendly practices none of which would bother the trekkers. Moreover, it was not worth abandoning the trail that gives you luxury of hiking up to the glaciers in merely 3-4 days, watching magnificent Fishtail Mountain up-close, passing through villages with diverse and very unique cultures etc.

Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)
upon arrival, a representative from Amazing Himalaya will receive you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02:  Kathmandu   Sightseeing:

Today, we will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath Stupa and Bouddhanath  Stupa which are all in UN World Heritage sites. Durbar Squares are conglomerate of ancient courtyards, palaces, and temples that gives glimpses of the life of the royals in ancient Nepal. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most important sites of pilgrimage for all Hindus. Swayambhunath is also known as the Monkey Temple, it is on top of a hill, and has historical significance associated with the foundation of Kathmandu valley. Baudhanath Stupa is one of the largest Stupas in the world. Overnight  in Kathmandu.

Day 03:  Kathmandu to PokharaAfter breakfast we will drive through an impressive mountain landscape, past peaceful villages, to Pokhara (200 km). The city is located directly on Fewa Lake and we have a wonderful view of the immediate and close up mountain panorama of the Annapurna massif. From here, numerous hiking trails begin to the Annapurna area. Overnight  in Pokhara.

 Day 04: Drive to Phedi and trek to Deurali (2100m): 4-5 hours trek

After breakfast, we will head towards Phedi, it’s an ½ an hour drive from Pokhara. From Phedi we will start our trekking.. Before we make our first stop we will hike through stoned gullies, terraced farms, jungles and forest. From Dhampus we will hike towards Deaurali. Located on the ridge, Deaurali is beautiful village from where one can see magnificent view of Annapurna South, Mardi Himal and Macchhapuchhare.Overnight in Deurali.

Day 05: Deurali to Forest Camp (2,520m): 6-7 hours:
We will ascend to forest camp through lushly forest. The forest is decorated with florid rhododendron plants—rhododendron flowers are also national flower of Nepal, and rare species of birds chirping from every corner of the jungle. After we reach forest camp we will rest and later in the evening we will explore the local popular tourist destination called Khokar. Overnight in  Forest Camp.

Day 06: Forest Camp to High Camp (3540m): 5-6 hours
on our way to High camp we ascend through lushly forest capitulating the reach natural diversity until we reach the low camp. From here we can see an up-close, jaw-dropping view of Mt. Fishtail. After  the lunch , we ascend to higher altitude we will see the nature unfold, we will notice the vegetation getting less dense and we will notice different species of plants and animals. Daphne, also national bird of Nepal, is one such rare species. Also, we will be trekking alongside ridge until we reach high camp. Overnight  in high camp. 

Day 07: High camp to upper viewpoint & Back (4250m) Lower Camp : 3-4 hours

Today we will ascend to upper viewpoint from where we can experience the mesmerizing mastiffs—also known as Himalayan Vista—of mountains that includes Mardi Himal (5587m), Baraha Shikhar (Mt. Fang) (7647m),  Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south (7219m), Tent Peak (5695m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Singhachuli (6501m), Machapuchhre (6993m) and many more. We will descend back to low  camp through pastures, and steep & narrow ridge. Overnight in low  camp.

Day 08: Lower Camp to Sidhing Village (1700m): 6-7 hours

On our way back we will take different route so that we can also experience the beautiful Sidhing Village. This village is a popular destination for the trekkers in this route where one can experience different culture than that of places in higher altitude. It is known for its serenity and popular destination to relax after a hectic trek up to the mountains. Overnight in Siddhing.

 Day 09:  From Sidhing Village   drive back to Pokhara   2-3 hours drive to pokhara

We will wake up early in the morning and have a after breakfast. Vehicle will be waiting for us to drive us to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 10: Pokhara–Chitwan

After breakfast, check out from hotel around 08.00 am. You will drive towards south est of Pokhara on the Pokhara – Kathmandu highway. If the weather is clear, you can see the beautiful Himalayan range again that includes famous mountains like, Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli, Manaslu and Annapurna on the way to Chitwan. As you reach Chitwan we check into the respective hotel/resort and get some rest & have Lunch after wards. After lunch, you will be a part of Jungle activities. Overnight at  hotel in Chitwan.

Day 11: In Chitwan:

Today you have full day of Jungle activities including Elephant back safari, Canoe ride, village tour, jungle walk with bird watching, and a show of Tharu cultural dance with bonfire at the end of the day. Overnight at hotel  in Chitwan.

Day 12: Chitwan-Kathmandu:

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu around 5 hours. In the evening stroll around Thamel and enjoy the night life. Overnight  at Hotel.

Day 13:  In Kathmandu:After breakfast, we will go for a half-day sightseeing tour of the most beautiful city in Kathmandu valley called Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is also listed in UN world heritage site. Here you can see the Durbar Square, the pottery market, the famous peacock window, as well as the five-storey Nyatapola: Nepal’s highest pagoda. Drive back to Kathmandu. Rest of the day you have free time for shopping or walk around Thamel. Overnight in  Kathmandu.

Day 14: Final departure     

Our adventure trip in Nepal ends today. A representative from Amazing Himalaya will drop you off at the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.
