Nepal, there are 11 National Parks. However, the most famous one is the Chitwan National Park. The park is located in southern lowlands of the Terai’s and covers an area of 932 sq km.More than 600 endangered Rhinos and a large number of rare Royal Bengal tiger can be found in the Royal Chitwan National Park.
There are 450 species of birds, 4 species of deer, 2 rare species of crocodiles, wild pigs, various deer, leopards, sloth bears, rhesus and Langur monkey, many other small animals and a fas cinating variety of flora and fauna.The park is popular for elephant safaris, dugout canoe trips, jungle hikes, bird watching and trips to the village of Tharus (local resident tribe).
